The following pages contain the ICA developed by Terence J. G. Tracey, a faculty member at Arizona State University.

The ICA is a questionnaire intended to provide information about one's interests and competencies is a wide variety of areas but specifically for younger individuals. It can be used by children as young as 9 years old but also for all ages older.

The instrument has good psychometric support (see Tracey, T. J. G, & Ward, C. (1998), The structure of children's interests and competence perceptions, Journal of Counseling Psychology, 45, 290-303.).

Your scores will be saved so that you can access them in the future and so that we may be able to look at group characteristics of the instrument.
